MRI Hosts 200+ New England Integrators at Expo
Northeast distributor MRI Premium Distribution Services hosts several hundred integrators at 11th annual trade show and training event.

MRI Premium Distribution tried something different this year for its 11th annual MRI Expo in Sturbridge, Mass.
The distributor, a member of the PowerHouse Alliance, had previously combined its car audio and home technologies divisions into a single event. But this year, MRI hosted its car audio dealers and vendors in the spring and had a focused event on the connected home in the fall.
And it worked!
The one-day event was bustling with several hundred integrators who were there for educational training and exhibits. Sony’s Gordon Shackelford keynoted the event and offered insight into why Ultra HD 4K is here to stay.
According to at least one vendor, there were many more New England dealers at this event than he encountered at CEDIA Expo 2013 in Denver.
Security exhibitors included 2Gig, Alarm.com, Elk Products, IC Realtime, Centralarm and USA Central Station among others. Custom electronics brands with booths included Core Brands, Polk Audio, KEF, Ethereal, SunBriteTV, Jamo, Fusion Research, Epson, JVC, NuVo Technologies, URC, Peerless-AV and Wyrestorm among others. OmniMount had its portable truck exhibit in the parking lot and Sony had a separate home theater setup.
