Sports programming has always been a game-changer, pardon the pun, when it comes to TV, and particularly the far-reaching ESPN empire. It helped push cable TV in front of millions of sports-hungry viewers, and later made those clamoring to see games in high-definition become mainstream reality (now we can follow the whizzing hockey pucks and flying golf balls better!). Hollywood movie-makers, for the most, have missed the boat on 3D, failing time and again to create a stimulating experience. But one movie that should satisfy 3D enthusiasts is the documentary “Storm Surfers 3D,” which premieres in theaters June 14, 2013. Accell Corporation is now shipping its ProUltra Thin HDMI Cables, which were first introduced at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) The ProUltra cables support 4K, 3D and 1080p video, as well as color depths up to 48 bits. The HDMI cables also incorporate support for built-in Ethernet and the Audio Return Channel. Panasonic DMP-BDT330 Blu-ray Player

Panasonic just started shipping all of its 2013 Blu-ray players, with a total of six players being offered. New models include the 3D-capable DMP-BDT330 and DMP-BDT230, with the 2D options being the DMP-BD89 and DMP-BD79. Panasonic is also going to pick up the DMP-BDT500 and DMP-BBT01 3D Blu-ray players from its 2012 lineup.
