Newcomer Blindspace, a brand under the Mt. Kisco, N.Y.-based Window Modes umbrella, aims to redefine window treatment integration with its recently launched concealment systems that are designed to seamlessly hide shades in modern architectural designs.
The company says these systems prepare hidden spaces within walls or ceilings, allowing for the discreet installation of both manual and motorized roller shades, accessible after construction is complete. This approach ensures a clutter-free aesthetic, eliminating exposed side channels, cables, or cords typically seen with traditional solutions.
Blindspace’s key products include the Standard S Series, which features the patented Blindspace Safety Hinge for securing the cover in place and installation in any direction. It is ideal for concealing roller shades in floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding doors, and other applications with minimal visual impact. S Series boxes can be pre-installed during construction to facilitate the future addition of concealed shade, the company says.
Blindspace’s Custom C Series is designed for large-scale projects and offers customizable box sizes that can accommodate very large shades, double shades, gable shades, and skylight shades. The C Series also uses the patented Safety Hinge for secure installation and provides flexibility for future concealed shade installations.
The TrackTrim line is designed to recess drapery tracks flush with the ceiling for a minimalist aesthetic. It supports popular drapery systems like Somfy, Lutron, and Crestron and includes options like curve sections and fixing brackets for precise alignment.
