Middle Atlantic’s Kevin Handerson swears that the “RackLink system is the most capable, easy-to-use, easy-to-implement system for monitoring, logging, providing notification and controlling power systems for A/V in residential or commercial applications.”

In this interview with CE Pro Blog Mobster Richard Fregosa at CEDIA Expo 2012, he explains that the unit monitors “incoming voltage, current draw and temperature and take action on its own according to your instructions if any of those variables exceed the thresholds that you set.” .

The RackLink Power Management System is a practical web-enabled solution providing integrators with real-time visibility and control over any installation from anywhere in the world. It will monitor the power and temperature conditions of an AV system, log and alert of any irregularities, and even reboot or take another action to correct problems on its own. It was designed to be easy to set up and operate, with an open architecture that integrates seamlessly with leading control systems - even smart phones - and is compatible with ‘cloud’ based services but is not dependent on them. All RackLink® series products are fully compliant with any control system or content aggregator. In addition to offering essential functions expected of any power management system, including local, remote and automatic reboot of individual outlets and dry contacts, the RackLink system also provides proactive power management. Key to RackLink’s practical use is its simple, plug-and-play functionality and communication flexibility; it will integrate seamlessly into any environment regardless of the platform or communication requirements. RackLink units are available in 15A and 20A rackmount and in-line models, with controlled or monitor-only capabilities.
