Panasonic Eco Systems North America, a division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, has announced a new generation of Panasonic’s line of WhisperGreen Select ventilation fans. This enhanced line, according to Panasonic, is designed to be longer lasting while offering greater energy efficiency and advanced automation opportunities.
The company cites a growing demand for smarter living environments happening in tandem with an increased awareness of indoor environmental quality as being the main push in the company developing the enhanced WhisperGreen Select line.
Outside of an updated grille design (as well as two architectural grilles that offer more design-conscious aesthetics), the enhanced WhisperGreen Select Line comes with a Wi-Fi Plug n Play module that allows users to control and monitor the fan remotely.
According to Panasonic, the fans are also ENERGY STAR certified with 3% efficiency increases and higher airflow capacity compared to previous model.
Additionally, Panasonic notes that the line introduces Dual Sensor Technology (Smart Action Motion Sensor and Condensation Sensor) which increases fan performance options and lighting control from the module for automatic activation based on environmental conditions.

The enhanced lineup also introduces various CCT LED light options at 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K for lighted models of the fan.
“With the latest enhancements to the WhisperGreen Select line, Panasonic broadens its range of highly efficient ventilation fans. The new models deliver increased performance and flexibility for builders, contractors and distributors,” said Edward Tsai, Product Manager, IAQ Division, Panasonic Corporation of North America.
Having been more commonly known in the CI industry for its displays, Panasonic first called attention to its indoor air quality solutions through its partnership with Swidget, which won a CE Pro BEST Product Award in 2022.
Of course, in comparison to other wellness categories such as lighting and shading, indoor air quality has been a relatively slow-growing area of the custom integration space. A widely scrutinized and talked about topic in the commercial sector, residential air quality has long been bogged down less by client awareness of air quality risks, but moreso by bias of home air quality.
Panasonic has even gone so far as to suggest that it is up to the professional to help break these misconceptions through proactive education while on projects, and that, once made known of the severity of home air quality, clients would be more inclined to pursue home remediation issues.
