CEDIA Expo 2026 attendees will have access to more than 90 free Manufacturer Product Training (MPT) sessions covering technologies including audio, video, lighting control, networking, shading, security and energy management.
The sessions, hosted by exhibiting manufacturers, are designed to provide integrators and their teams with hands-on product experience, technical instruction and installation guidance that can be applied to projects after the show.
Participating manufacturers include ADI, Automatic Controls, Chowmainsoft, Comcast, Crestron, FX Luminaire, Liteline, Lucetta CI, Lutron, PowerShades, Samsung, Savant, Sonos, Sterling Lighting and Unique Lighting Systems. Additional sessions are expected to be added ahead of the show.
Manufacturer Training Focuses on Hands-On Skills
According to CEDIA Expo organizers, the MPT program is intended to complement the show floor by giving attendees more focused instruction on products and applications they may encounter during installations.
Sessions range from product-specific instruction to broader installation and application training, with opportunities for technicians and systems designers to work directly with representatives from participating manufacturers. Some sessions also provide certification opportunities.
“MPT sessions give our team the opportunity to work directly with integrators, use guided self-discovery sessions that allow integrators to get hands-on practice with our devices and software,” said Jim Haws, technical trainer at ADI Global. “Doing it this way helps them specify, install, and support our solutions with the utmost confidence. I can’t imagine a more valuable way to spend my time at CEDIA Expo.”
For integration companies, the training can also provide an opportunity to bring multiple employees to the show for product and technical education. Topics are designed to address areas such as product specification, installation, troubleshooting and ongoing support.
key Manufacturers Expand Trainings Presence at CEDIA Expo
Lutron is among the manufacturers increasing its educational presence at CEDIA Expo this year. The company plans to bring more employees to Denver, including trainers, engineers, sales personnel and marketing staff, giving attendees opportunities to interact with employees across different areas of the company.
“We’re doubling our number of training sessions,” Ed Blair of Lutron told CE Pro in an interview earlier this summer about the company’s increased investment in CEDIA Expo 2026.
The company will also continue offering its hands-on Lutron Lab, where attendees can interact with new products and technologies as well as the engineers involved in developing them.
The expanded training effort reflects a broader emphasis on direct interaction between manufacturers and integrators at this year’s show, both through formal training sessions and hands-on demonstrations.
CEDIA Expo Positions MPTs as Workforce Development Opportunity
Jason McGraw, group vice president and show director of CEDIA Expo, said the program is also intended to give integration firms an opportunity to invest in employee development while attending the show.
“Manufacturer Product Training is one of the most effective ways for integrators to maximize value at CEDIA Expo,” McGraw said. “These sessions provide an opportunity for those who design and build the technology systems to connect directly with the people who install and support it. For business owners, it is also a chance to bring their teams, invest in workforce development, and return to work with knowledge that can immediately benefit both the business and its customers.”
All Manufacturer Product Training sessions are free for CEDIA Expo attendees. Those who have already registered for the show can add sessions through their existing registration, while new attendees can select sessions during registration.
