Stewart LuminEsse Screen Takes Edge Off Movies & TV

Available in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio or CinemaScope aspect ratio with a choice of screen materials that include FireHawk G4, GrayHawk RS G4, StudioTek 130 and more, Stewart's new LuminEsse provides dealers with a high-performance bezel-free screen solution that fits the style aspirations of consumers.

Developed for homeowners that don't want the industrial look of traditional screen products in their living spaces, Stewart Filmscreen's LuminEsse Edgeless fixed frame screen can be ordered by dealers in just about any combination of size, screen material, and LED backlighting option.

Long considered to be the Tom Brady of the projection-screen market, Torrance, Calif.-based Stewart Filmscreen is a benchmark manufacturer and long-time custom installation industry supporter.

Adding to its already highly diversified line of screen products, the West Coast company has announced its new LuminEsse fixed, front-projection screen product.

The company’s latest screen product is designed to fill the aesthetic aspirations homeowners desire when integrating projection systems into their homes. According to Stewart, the product is available with its state-of-the-art screen technologies.

“It’s no secret that clients are more demanding than ever when it comes to having a great looking screen, whether the screen is in use or not. This means a ‘floating image’ experience when in use and an ‘edgeless’ art piece effect when not,” says Grant Stewart, president and CEO of Stewart Filmscreen.“Now, the technology professional can offer his or her clients just that, but with far more flexibility when it comes to specifying the right gain for the particular application, plus the impeccable and impressive image quality that is synonymous with Stewart.”

Stewart Filmscreen points out the product features a 3/8-inch thin bezel and it offers the screen with a choice of its 4K screen materials, including FireHawk G4, GrayHawk RS G4, StudioTek 130, and others. The company notes that it also offers the product in a range of sizes up to 120 inches diagonally in a 16:9 aspect ratio, and up to 128 inches diagonally in a CinemaScope aspect ratio.

In addition, Stewart offers an optional LED lighting option for the screen, which the company says acts as bias lighting to relax the iris of the eye to minimize viewer fatigue when watching movies and/or TV over long periods of time.

Dealers interested in seeing the LuminEsse can visit the company’s Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show booth (#1-F50) in Amsterdam during the week of Feb. 10-12.
