3 ISF Test Patterns for Ultra HD 4K Display Calibration
Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) shares three test patterns for integrators to use when calibrating new Ultra HD 4K TVs.
Buyers of new Ultra HD 4K TVs are serious videophiles, which means they are ripe for offering calibration services.
In the spirit of the holiday season, Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) has unveiled new 4K test patterns for B&W levels and geometry/resolution.
According to president Joel Silver, “We needed these patterns for our own evaluations - and since we do not see a large market to sell them into developing soon - we decided to gift them to our friends to help 4K developments.”
He adds, “I find it most interesting to see what happens to the fine lines in the 4K Geometry Resolution pattern on a 1920x1080 computer screen ....”
ISF will have 2K versions of these for the Quantum Data 780 HD test pattern generator on the market shortly that will be for sale at $150.
