RYSE Inc. announced the launch of its latest investment round at USD $2.60 per share through its Regulation A offering qualified by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 9. This comes alongside the signing of two major distribution deals for its products in New York and Midwest regions.
According to the company, the new round will support RYSE’s expansion into the professional channel, where the company says smart home integrators, dealers, and installers are increasingly turning to retrofit solutions.
“Coming out of CEDIA with two major distributors signed, we’re seeing firsthand how much demand there is for retrofit automation in the professional trade channel,” said Trung Pham, Founder and CEO of RYSE.
“This funding round gives us the fuel to rapidly scale in this market and equip integrators and fabricators with the retrofit solutions they’re after.”
RYSE’s flagship products, SmartShade and SmartCurtain, are robotic devices that allow users to motorize and automate their existing window shades and curtains. SmartShade connects onto any shade with a beaded chain, such as roller shades and vertical blinds while SmartCurtain fits on a curtain rod or track.
The devices can be controlled via mobile app, remote control, or voice-controlled AI assistant and can be set to open and close on a schedule. The devices can also be activated by interacting with the window covering, like tugging on a curtain. The motors can be integrated into a larger smart home ecosystem with IFTTT, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit.
The current offering round includes up to 15,751,655 shares, for a maximum raise of approximately $40.95 million. The round follows the launch of MOTORYSE—RYSE’s new brand for the CI channel.
RYSE signs distribution deal with DSG Distributors and Mountain West Distributors
DSG Distributors and Mountain West Distributors (MWD) will carry MOTORYSE across New York as well as Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon and Washington, respectively.
“At DSG Distributors, we look for solutions that help our dealers win more business and deliver real value to their customers. That’s what makes MOTORYSE compelling to us,” said Dave Silkin, President and CEO of DSG Distributors.
“The ability to automate compatible shades, blinds and curtains customers already own opens up opportunities in both residential and commercial projects. It gives dealers a reason to reconnect with existing clients and offer an upgrade without asking them to replace window treatments they already like.”
“We are excited to partner with MOTORYSE. They offer a unique product that fills a hole for our dealers and helps round out our shades category,” said Garrett Breinholt, Sales Manager at Mountain West Distributors.
Why integrators should take note
RYSE’s products sit at the intersection of two major trends emerging in the CI channel: drapery and retrofits. Until recently, adding shade or drapery motorization to a finished space typically meant tearing out and replacing existing window treatments with ones that already had automation capabilities built in.
