As homeowners look to make additions and renovations to their homes, many will target their exterior spaces for creating a relaxing and entertaining environment. That means they’ll be turning to integrators for designs that may include outdoor video, audio, lighting, shades, security, and more – and one of the newest AV options on the market is the Clarus S1 from SKYWORTH USA.
The Chino, Calif.-based company, which is a subsidiary of SKYWORTH Group, touts the Clarus S1 as the first outdoor Google TV, and demonstrated the product for the custom integration channel at CEDIA Expo 2023 in September.
Rated for full sun viewing, SKYWORTH USA’s Clarus S1 produces an impressive 3,000 nits brightness and incorporates an eight-speaker, 100-watt audio system.
“One of the things we’ve really focused on in the last few months has been working closely with control companies so that our valued CI dealers will be able to integrate Clarus easily into the entertainment systems of their clients,” states Michael Gleason, director of sales, Lifestyle TVs at SKYWORTH USA.
The company notes that the Clarus S1’s brightness levels enable the image to remain clear even under direct sunlight, while competitive outdoor TVs on the market average 2,000 nits.

SKYWORTH USA adds that the Clarus S1 has built-in protection and durability features to withstand the rigors of being outside for prolonged periods, including a ruggedized, all-metal body and a high tolerance for extreme temperatures.
The elegant dustproof and waterproof enclosure is IP66 rated to ensure dust and moisture protection, and the set is also impact-resistant for total durability and longevity, according to SKYWORTH USA.
SKYWORTH USA Clarus S1 Soundbar Complements High-Performance Outdoor Video
On the audio side, the turnkey outdoor Google TV features an included soundbar with Dolby surround-sound technology. In addition to the eight-driver array, the soundbar employs advanced audio processing, according to SKYWORTH USA, and it supports bi-directional Bluetooth technology so it can easily connect to phones or other Bluetooth devices.
Beyond residential deployment, the company enthuses that Clarus is also suited for commercial use in restaurants, fitness clubs, resort locations and pools, outdoor lounges, and other applications.
SKYWORTH USA says the Clarus S1 is now available in the U.S. and Canada through select custom integrators and is offered in two screen sizes, a 65-inch (MSRP $4,999) and a 75-inch ($6,999) display.
The company adds that the Clarus S1 is the first of several new lifestyle TV products planned over the next six months.
“With our expansion into the CI category, SKYWORTH USA looks forward to bringing American consumers the same advanced technologies and forward-looking design innovations that have defined our brand globally in the outdoor TV marketplace,” says Fang Fang Li, CEO of SKYWORTH USA.
“During the coming year, we will debut an exciting collection of high-value, high-performance products in the U.S. market, offering new options and concepts for outdoor and indoor entertainment.”
