Origin Acoustics is expanding its executive leadership team as the architectural audio manufacturer looks to broaden its reach into new product categories, technologies and applications.

The company has named David Moore President of New Ventures and Danielle Karr EVP of Marketing, with both executives joining Origin ahead of CEDIA Expo 2026. The appointments come as Origin says it is investing in its brand, expanding its capabilities and exploring opportunities beyond its traditional architectural audio business.

David Moore to Lead New Ventures

Moore joins Origin Acoustics with more than 25 years of experience spanning consumer electronics, smart home technology, engineering and the custom integration channel.

He previously held leadership positions at Snap One, where he ultimately led Global Engineering and oversaw teams working across hardware, software and connected-platform development. Moore was also behind the original concept that became WattBox, developing an early prototype intended to allow integrators to remotely identify and reboot unresponsive network devices.

In 2024, Moore was named a CE Pro Master in recognition of his contributions to the custom integration industry.

As President of New Ventures, Moore will be responsible for exploring new categories, technologies and applications for Origin’s capabilities in audio, design and integration.

“Some of the best ideas in this industry have always come from understanding the real problems integrators are trying to solve,” Moore said. “That’s what excites me about what we’re building here.”

Danielle Karr Takes Over Marketing Strategy

Karr joins Origin as EVP of Marketing following previous roles with Vivint, Control4, Snap One and Nice North America.

Her experience includes brand development and go-to-market strategy across the smart home, consumer technology and custom integration markets. At Control4, Karr oversaw the company’s Certified Showroom Program, helping expand the program across the company’s dealer network and its outreach to homeowners and the design-build community.

At Origin, Karr will lead the company’s brand and marketing strategy, including programs and tools designed to support Origin dealers and partners.

“We have an enormous amount of respect for what Origin has already built,” Karr said. “The opportunity now is to take everything that makes this company different—the engineering, the creativity, the people and the culture—and make sure the industry understands the scale of where we’re going next.”

Origin Looks Beyond Traditional Architectural Audio

The additions come as Origin evaluates opportunities to apply its loudspeaker engineering, industrial design and custom integration expertise across additional markets and applications.

According to the company, those areas include luxury residential and outdoor environments as well as hospitality and emerging mobility applications.

“We’ve always had an incredible group of people here who know how to build products and businesses differently,” said Nick Berry, CEO of Origin Acoustics. “What’s changing is the scale of what we believe Origin can become. We’re adding exceptional people, investing in the brand and continuing to push into places where we think audio should live.”

Origin Acoustics Heads to CEDIA Expo 2026

Origin Acoustics will also use CEDIA Expo 2026 to showcase new products and provide a closer look at its broader direction.

At Booth #2523, the company plans to offer guided demonstrations of new products, with executives and product specialists discussing the applications behind the products and Origin’s product development strategy.

The company says its CEDIA Expo presence will encompass new leadership, products and categories as it looks to expand its position within the custom integration market.
