Polk Audio is one of the most famous brands in consumer audio. Throughout its 40-plus years of operation, the company has strived to balance cost and performance to provide consumers with a choice of value-inspired products.

Polk has introduced its new T Series of loudspeakers. The line features the T50 floorstanding model ($130 each), the T30 center-channel speaker ($130 each), and the T15 bookshelf speaker ($100 per pair). The speakers feature robust cabinet construction and black-oak finishes that complement today’s flat-panel displays and other electronics.

“Polk engineers are famous for saying it’s easy to make expensive speakers sound great,” says Michael Greco, global brand director for Polk. “The challenge is making an entry-level line with exceptional sound that far exceeds its price. The T Series does just that, providing balanced audio reproduction and incredible listening experience whether you’re an avid movie watcher or music fan.”

The T Series floorstanding T50 incorporates a 1-inch silk dome tweeter, along with Polk’s own proprietary waveguide that helps to control dispersion. It also features a pair of 6.5-inch Dynamic Balance drivers, and two 6.5-inch bass radiators that augment the speaker’s low frequency capabilities.

The T30 center-channel speaker features the same 1-inch silk dome tweeter as the T50, with two 5.25-inch Dynamic Balance drivers that reside in a ported enclosure with a rear firing bass port.

The final product in the line, the T15 bookshelf speaker, employs a front-firing port design with a 5.25-inch Dynamic Balance driver and a 3/4-inch Dynamic Balance silk-dome tweeter.
