As the world continues to migrate away the twenty-something year old CD format to new technologies such as streaming media and digital music files, devices like Cambridge Audio‘s NP30 24-bit Network Music Player are becoming increasingly important to CE Pros.

Distributed in the U.S. by Audio Plus Services, the NP30 can be installed into a traditional audio system or a home theater, and it can provide easy access to a range of digital music that includes everything from 20,000 Internet radio stations and streaming music services, to music from its built-in UvVol Radio Internet radio service and music stored on a home network. Cambridge Audio incorporates DLNA compatibility to facilitate its network media sharing capabilities, as well as a choice of 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity.

Cambridge also offers a choice of ways to control the unit, including apps for Apple’s iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad products, or a standard IR remote control for non Apple users.
