With more homeowners emphasizing wellness, Broan-NuTone has just introduced its Overture, whole-house indoor air quality system.
Broan-NuTone states that its new indoor air quality system connects to a home’s supply and exhaust ventilation and it monitors the quality of air within the home. The company stresses the Overture Indoor Air Quality System automatically turns on and off, and integrators can install the system in new construction environments, and in existing homes as a retrofit solution.
According to Broan-NuTone, the system employs sensors that detects humidity and pollutants. The Overture system once it detects an element will activate an appropriate nearby ventilation fan, range hood, ERV/HRV or supply fan, and it will eliminate the air quality issue through a combination of exhaust and fresh air.
The company notes that a key part of its new indoor air quality system is its cloud-based functionality. Through its cloud capabilities the system provides customizable, up-to-the-minute reporting of a home’s indoor air quality.
Broan-NuTone points out the Overture Indoor Air Quality System is important because indoor air can be anywhere from two to five times more polluted than outdoor air, and these air quality differences can impact the short-term and long-term health of home occupants.
