Ethereal announced its return to the Integrated Systems Europe conference (ISE 2024), which takes place on Jan 30 to Feb 2 in Barcelona, Spain with a variety of new products to display.

The Florida-based manufacturer will be exhibiting in booth #2L200 in Hall 2 of the Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue, and the company states that attendees will see its latest HDMI, system design, and power distribution products from its Big Dog Power, Helios HDMI cables, distributor-focused architectural and outdoor speakers Adept Audio brands.

Ethereal will introduce new HDMI switches, matrixes, and extenders that solve common problems integrators encounter in the field. The new CS-HDM4X1ASW5 HDMI Switch with four Inputs and one HDMI Output, one HDMI Audio Output and Audio Breakout will be displayed. This device allows the connection of up to four HDMI source devices to a single HDMI input on an AVR or display and sends de-embedded digital or analog audio out to another audio device. Ethereal will also display three new HDMI matrixes:

• CS-44MQ: High-performance HDMI Matrix Switcher that can switch any of  four HDMI 2.0 sources to four HDMI 2.0 displays.
• CS-88MQ: 18Gbps 8×8 HDMI Matrix that supports the transmission of video (up to 4K/60Hz YUV 4:4:4) and multi-channel high resolution digital audio from eight HDMI sources to eight HDMI displays.
• CS-44MHD2 – 18Gbps 4×4 HDBaseT (150M) Matrix that can connect four HDMI sources to eight displays. It features four HDMI outputs and each HDMI output is mirrored to provide a CAT-Cable output which runs simultaneously.

In addition, Ethereal’s booth will feature a pair of new HDMI extenders. The CS-HDSCOAX2U is a 18Gbps HDMI over Coaxial Extender that can extend HDMI video and audio signals up to 328ft / 100m via a single coaxial cable. It supports video resolution up to 4K/60Hz 4:4:4, and has an audio embedding and de-embedding function.

It is equipped with bi-directional IR pass-through, allowing users to send IR control up to a distance of 328ft / 100m, making IR control possible without any additional wires. It also supports advanced EDID management. The new CS-HDMARC1 is an HDMI ARC Audio Extender that easily extends ARC audio from a display to an ARC-enabled HDMI output over simple category cable.

Big Dog Power Products Take Center Stage at ISE 2024

Covering the power category, Ethereal’s Big Dog brand will show its Smart Power Distribution Units at ISE 2024 (many of which already made an appearance at the recent CEDIA Expo 2023). The company boasts the products combine all the features integrators need into one device to deliver surge protection, remote control, smart home integration, rack temperature management, and more.

The unit incorporates 12 individually controllable outlets have power metering, self-healing, and automatic reboot capabilities for smarter and easier remote management of connected devices. The PR-R13PI Smart Outlet PDU includes a surge mileage meter that shows when surges have occurred and the percentage of remaining protection. Two removable surge protection modules can be replaced without sacrificing the entire PDU, making this solution unique and cost-effective.

Other products in the Ethereal booth at ISE 2024 will include Black Series ultra high-speed HDMI cables by its Helios brand. These cables offer 48 Gbps bandwidth, and through the cable’s bandwidth capabilities, the Black Series enable the transmission of 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz with HDR, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. The cables also enable Ethernet and ARC over HDMI, and the cables utilize a robust nylon braided jacket, and oxidation-resistant gold-plated connectors.

Additionally, the company will highlight its Velox HDMI Cables, including the new HDM-JR4 EDID Booster that strips capacitive loading off of the DDC (EDID) Bus to reduce the Data Rise Time, which Ethereal says improves the consistency and reliability of low speed communications.

Moreover, at ISE 2024, the company will partner with Adept Audio, which is a product line engineered and designed by Origin Acoustics, Ethereal will showcase down-firing ceiling speakers, in-wall LCR speakers, indoor-outdoor speakers, and more. These speakers offer easier installation and affordable prices. The speakers are designed to deliver a better listening experience for clients of residential and commercial installation companies, whether it’s a home theater, whole-house audio, outdoor sound system, or commercial space.
