Making its debut at the 2021 CES Show virtual event, PerListen Audio has launched, and as part of its launch it has announced its S7t tower loudspeaker.
According to the company, through its THX certification the speaker can be used for large home theater installations (rooms up to 6,500 cubic feet), and the speaker achieves less than .5% distortion at listening levels of 90dB.
Other applications for the 92dB-sensitive, 4-ohm speaker includes high-performance stereo systems where users need speakers that are capable of producing frequency responses as dynamic as 22Hz to 37kHz.
PerListen Audio explains the S7t incorporates its Directivity Pattern Control (DPC) waveguide that includes three 28mm “beamforming” tweeters to control vertical and horizontal dispersion.
The speaker also contains a beryllium tweeter that provides top-end extension up to 40kHz.
Other design elements built into the speaker includes rear absorption chamber that is said to reduce internal reflections.
Integrators can configure the S7t tower speaker as a bass reflex or acoustic suspension design. Other drivers built into the speaker include four 7-inch bass drivers to provide lower frequency reproduction.
