CEDIA Expo, an international trade event for residential technology professionals is set to welcome some of the most well-known buying groups in the industry, including HTSA, Nationwide Marketing Group and ProSource.
The popular trade show points out that by partnering with the industry’s leading organizations, CEDIA Expo 2023 will foster high levels of attendee networking and educational opportunities for independent retailers, dealers and custom installers during the event. These activities join a full schedule of events produced by the CEDIA trade group association.
The CEDIA Expo Conference, curated by CEDIA, will bring advocacy, connection and education to the home technology community through formal training and professional advancement, advocacy activations, and insightful speakers on emerging trends. The show, which takes place in Denver on Sept. 7-9 features over 90 sessions, half of which are brand new, and the return of the CEDIA Town Hall: Recruit Talent to Expand Your Business on Thursday, September 7, 2023. The show describes this session as a free networking breakfast and discussion on how integrators can attract top talent to their companies. CEDIA will also hold a members-only reception and will produce for the first-ever the CEDIA Symposium, focusing on the impact of A.I. on home technology.
“CEDIA Expo is a pillar of the industry, and the CEDIA Association couldn’t be more proud of this year’s content,” comments Daryl Friedman, global president and CEO of CEDIA.
“During the rest of the year, the CEDIA team works diligently to identify trends and key areas of interest the industry wants to hear about – a feat we couldn’t accomplish without actively involved members willing to share their personal insight. The CEDIA Expo Conference is a result of their harmonious collaboration that I know the industry will find immensely valuable.”
HTSA, Nationwide Marketing Group, ProSource Buying Groups Host a Range of Activities
At CEDIA Expo 2023, HTSA will host an invitation-only cocktail party to unite industry professionals and members. The event according to HTSA, provides an opportunity to discuss business, foster new relationships and share personal growth stories. Additionally, Tom Doherty, director of technology initiatives for HTSA, will participate in a session that examines AI technologies, and Jon Robbins, executive director, HTSA, will join a panel of other industry leaders on the CEDIA Smart Stage to share insights and strategies.
“HTSA has been a proud, engaged supporter of CEDIA Expo for decades,” says Robbins.
“Our entire team attends annually, and we leverage CEDIA Expo for group meetings, educational opportunities, social networking events and more. CEDIA is a vital place to reconnect with our members and the industry at large to remain on the forefront of the latest technologies and services and stay ahead of the curve. Sharing the common theme of education with CEDIA, our members can continually evolve and build on their models. We look forward to this special time and the opportunity to interact with our channel. Thank you, CEDIA Expo, for facilitating this industry-wide event.”
This year, Nationwide Marketing Group will offer its members networking opportunities. Hank Alexander, director of emerging technology for Nationwide Marketing Group, will participate in a panel on the CEDIA Smart Stage. Together, these market leaders will share insights on the state of the industry, as well as other topics such as identifying business opportunities, pitfalls, and what custom integrators need to do to continue to thrive.
“Emerald has been an incredible partner in continuing to champion the integrator community by providing this platform each fall,” says Andy Orozco, senior vice president of custom integration for Nationwide Marketing Group.
“This year’s event promises to be even bigger. Bringing CEDIA Expo and Commercial Integrator Expo under one roof sets the stage for exceptional collaboration and idea sharing across the channel. We couldn’t think of a better opportunity to showcase our expanding residential and commercial offerings through Azione Unlimited, Ellipsys and Oasys.”
Returning to CEDIA Expo is the ProSource buying group. This year the national buying group will pick up on its tradition of hosting members and vendors at an exclusive ProSource cocktail event on Thursday, September 7. The invitation-only event will gather industry professionals at the historic Union Station. Additionally, Jim Pearse, chief operating officer of ProSource, will speak alongside Robbins and Alexander on the CEDIA Smart Stage as they share insights on the state of the industry.
“The ProSource leadership team and ProSource membership are looking forward to heading back to Denver, Colorado, for CEDIA Expo 2023,” adds Pearse.
