LG Electronics will introduce at CES 2020 (Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall #11100) a new lineup of soundbars featuring premium quality audio, eARC connectivity, AI room calibration, and sleek designs that integrate with LG’s OLED and NanoCell TVs.
The LG soundbar models — SN11RG, SN10YG, SN9YG, and SN8YG — leverage the company’s long-standing partnership with Meridian Audio with more models featuring the company’s technologies such as Bass and Space, which are designed to boost low-frequency reproduction and widen the soundstage.
The units also include Image Elevation, which aims to bring a more lifelike listening experience by elevating the perceived height of lead instruments and vocals. Furthermore, the majority of the 2020 lineup supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for immersive audio.
A new feature for LG soundbars is AI Room Calibration, which is designed to optimize the sound by automatically tailoring output to the specific characteristics of the room. The soundbar models are self-calibrating, able to recognize and analyze tones to accurately assess the dimensions of a given space and adjust accordingly, according to the company.
The LG soundbars also feature an advanced processing algorithm that can upscale conventional file formats to near-studio quality.

LG’s new soundbars also offer 4K Pass-Through for enhanced video quality an optional SPK8 Wireless Rear Speaker Kit to upgrade the audio. Google Assistant voice control is built into more models for 2020.
In terms of connectivity the addition of enhanced audio return channel (eARC) allows owners to plug external devices directly into their eARC-compatible TVs to receive three-dimensional sound of high-resolution audio formats such as Dolby True HD or DTS Master Audio.
