“We’re excited to be unveiling new features and an expanded lineup from our industry-leading portfolio of digital signage and solutions. The QPT-8K utilizes Samsung’s QLED technologies that provide compatibility with the HDR10+ high dynamic range standard and 100% color volume. Available in a choice of 65-, 75-, 82- and 98-inch screen sizes, the displays are also capable of producing up to 2,000 nits of brightness.
Samsung points out the products incorporate its AI Quantum processor to enable 8K content upscaling. The company also emphasizes the displays can be used for intensive applications such as healthcare to view X-rays and MRIs via the products’ built-in DICOM simulation mode.
Other features the 2020 8K Smart signage displays incorporate include Samsung’s Tizen 5.5 operating system, and support connectivity for as many as four sources that can be displayed simultaneously in 4K.
Additionally, the displays are compatible with Samsung’s MagicINFO 8 digital signage software.
The Wall Gets More Size Options
Providing a greater choice of sizes for its MicroLED The Wall modular display system, Samsung now offers a choice of 437- and 583-inch 8K solutions.
The line already offers a choice of customizable The Wall sizes and ratios that range from 219- and 292-inch 4K displays, and the addition of the 437- and 583-inch 8K versions provide increased performance and screen size flexibility.
Showcasing its new Flip 2 product, Samsung notes this solution is an easy-to-use flipchart that can be used in a variety of ways by corporate, education, creative and retail professionals.
Augmenting the functionality of the Flip 2 Samsung says that it partnered with Cisco Webex to bring together the Webex Roomkit solution with the Flip 2.
Samsung adds the Flip 2 with Webex Roomkit provides users with remote collaboration capabilities to contribute to projects through the ability to notate on their respective displays simultaneously to enable real-time collaboration.
