Samsung has announced the launch of its latest home entertainment solutions, The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 ultra-short throw (UST) projectors.
“Research finds the #1 factor buyers search for in a new projector is whether it provides a cinematic experience,” said James Fishler, Senior Vice President of Home Entertainment, Samsung Electronics America.
“That’s why we’ve refreshed our award-winning lineup of The Premiere projectors to make it even easier for you to experience theater-like visuals, right at home.”
The Premiere Projectors Come HDR10+ Certified with 4K Resolution Standard
Fitting into the demand for high quality home cinema visuals, as Samsung describes it, both The Premiere 7 and 9 models are HDR10+ certified, with the premiere 9 featuring triple laser technology for enhanced color accuracy and brightness. Both models offer UST capabilities and 4K resolution on screens up to 130-inches.
Both The Premiere models have a color gamut coverage of 154% and 100% of the DCI-P3 standard, according to Samsung, which helps each to deliver more vivid images in brighter environments. The Premiere 9 has a maximum brightness of 3,450 ISO lumens while The Premiere 7 has 2,500 ISO lumens.

Additionally, both The Premiere projectors are equipped with 4K AI Upscaling and what Samsung is calling “Vision Booster.” As described by Samsung, Vision Booster automatically adjusts color and contrast in various lighting conditions, allowing both projectors to key in on optimal picture quality.
Both The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 also come with built-in speakers featuring Dolby Atmos immersive audio, creating what Samsung calls “a true home theater experience” without the need for additional sound equipment.
The Premiere 9 features 40W 2.2.2 channel up-firing speakers, while The Premiere 7 includes 30W 2.2ch speakers.
Both models also employ a minimalist, warm white design with rounded edges and a premium fabric finish from Kvadrat, a Danish textile design company, in order to blend well into home décor.
Samsung Smart TV OS Included on The Premiere 7 and The Premier 9 Models
Both projectors come with Samsung Tizen smart TV OS, which opens users up to a wide variety of content from Samsung TV Plus, Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and more.
For gaming enthusiasts, the newly integrated Samsung Gaming Hub6 provides access to over 3,000 premium titles from partners like XBOX – no console required.
Other features include the Custom Ambient option that allows users to customize their viewing experience through an array of projection options that include downloaded content, custom drawings, personal photos or even a suite of interactive widgets.
Samsung also touts that when not in use, the projectors can double as smart speakers, being able to be controlled by hands-free voice control. Users can also share content from your smartphone to the big screen with Tap View and Mirroring.
Set-up is reportedly meant to be simple as well, as Samsung states users need only plug in the projector and connect to a wireless network.
The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 are now available for purchase on Samsung.com and across select retailers. Now through September 15, when you buy The Premiere, customers will also get The Freestyle 2nd Gen for free, according to Samsung.
