A Deep Dive into the Lamborghini Sonus faber Audio System
The Lamborghini Temerario sound system utilizes the latest Sonus faber acoustical engineering concepts crafted to deliver natural, clear and detailed sound and give the listener a fun listening experience.
The system features seven speakers in total, with one tweeter and one midrange driver in each door, as well as one full-range speaker in the dashboard to serve as a center-channel speakers, and two integrated full-range speakers to serve as surround speakers. Sonus faber explains the surround speakers are positioned right behind pilot and co-pilot to enrich the sound experience by deepening the audio image depth and enveloping occupants in an immersive acoustic environment.
The whole Sound System is designed and tuned to provide a natural listening experience directly in front of the pilot and co-pilot, helping recreate a very detailed soundstage with symmetry of sound. Sonus faber points out the bandwidth of the Temerario sound system goes from 30Hz to 30kHz, which the Italian audio company notes is near maximum audio frequency for the human ear.
Sonus faber continues by saying the placement of the neodymium engine within the speakers strategically in the middle of the units, along with the reversed structure enhances the sound clarity and functions as a phase plug, while the thinness of the unit optimizes space utilization.
The system is powered with a full Class D amplifier delivering up to 750 Watts of power, which, in combination with a customized Sonus faber DSP engine ensures smooth transitions between electrical signals and acoustical tones.
Sonus faber adds the purity and minimalism that distinguish the latest addition to the Lamborghini family are also reflected in the Temerario’s speaker grilles, which call back to the brand’s iconic Y pattern.
