Crestron Electronics, a global manufacturer of residential and commercial automation, AV and control products, has announced a line of in-wall, in-ceiling, and landscape speakers developed through a partnership with Origin Acoustics.
Moreover, Crestron has also announced a new DM NAX matrix/amplifier and streaming music player for high-performance audio-over-IP and native integration with Crestron Home
“The residential line of architectural and landscape speakers and high performance audio distribution system offer a no compromise solution that scales across project sizes to deliver an unmatched home entertainment experience. By partnering with Origin Acoustics, we were able combine our expertise to fill an exceptional need in the market with an extraordinary new series of audio products,” says John Clancy, VP of Residential, Crestron.
Crestron IP Speakers Manufactured by Origin Acoustics
Crestron explains the new line of IP speakers made by Origin Acoustics fall within two performance tiers: Reference and Ultimate.
Speakers from the baseline Reference tier includes in-ceiling, in-wall, and landscape models, feature Origin’s silk tweeters.

The luxury Ultimate products include in-ceiling, in-wall, marine-grade, and landscape models that are designed to offer users the best available performance. The Ultimate series feature carbon-fiber components and ceramic-coated aluminum tweeters that optimize sound accuracy.
Nick Berry, CEO of Origin Acoustics, points out the new IP speakers are made with premium components to support the output and resolution capabilities of the DM NAX amplifier.

DM NAX Matrix Amplifier Complements new Speakers
Crestron’s new DM NAX matrix/amplifier was engineered to fill a gap in the market the company has identified.
The companion streaming product provides homeowners with native music streaming capabilities from the market’s most popular services. Through its Crestron Home integration options, Crestron emphasizes that homeowners will gain full visibility and control of their home audio from mobile devices, touch screens, remotes, keypads, and voice-activated devices.
Commenting on the new IP speakers and DM NAX matrix amplifier and streaming product, Clancy says he looks forward to the new products availability.
“In the 30 years I’ve been associated with Crestron, I’ve never been more excited about an audio product line. I can’t wait to get these products into customers’ hands,” adds Clancy.
Crestron Residential Speakers made by Origin Acoustics will ship in April, while the Crestron DM NAX line will ship in early June.
