The new Key Digital KD-Pro8x8D professional HDBaseT/HDMI switcher also serves as an audio router and control system solution.
Key Digital says the KD-Pro8x8D offers integrators a full kit that includes the matrix, six KD-X88SHRx standard-range extenders, and two KD-X88LGRx long-range extenders that are all powered over HDBaseT.
The company points out the matrix system utilizes one power connection for the matrix and one for all eight receiver units.
According to the N.Y.-based company, the solution’s video outputs simultaneously provide active HDMI and HDBaseT ports for single-wire integration with displays throughout a distributed video system. The kit’s short- and long-range extenders deliver UHD/4K video up to 125 feet and 300 feet each respectively.
Key Digital adds the KD-Pro8x8D system provides up to 10.2Gbps of bandwidth to support resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 with chroma sampling rates up to 4:2:0, and support of the HDR10 standard.
Moreover, the system integrates into control systems from companies that include Compass Control, Lutron and others.
