Lutron has introduced its new LED+ Pro Max dimmer lineup, a series of residential dimmers designed to help electrical contractors and installers address the growing variety of lighting loads found in today’s homes.
According to the company, the new lineup is intended to reduce the need for troubleshooting and product changes on job sites where contractors may not know the exact fixture types or load requirements before installation. As residential projects increasingly incorporate integrated LEDs, tape lighting, track lighting, outdoor fixtures and other lighting technologies, selecting a compatible dimmer has become more challenging.F
The lineup is anchored by the new Diva dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model, alongside the Diva dimmer – LED+ Pro model. It also includes updated versions of the Maestro dimmer – LED+ Pro Max and Sunnata dimmer – LED+ Pro Max, giving contractors multiple control options depending on project requirements.
The Diva LED+ Pro Max model is designed to support a broad range of residential lighting applications, including electronic low-voltage tape lighting, magnetic low-voltage track lighting, outdoor lighting circuits, recessed LED fixtures and incandescent or halogen lighting. Lutron says the dimmer features its highest wattage capacity to accommodate larger or more complex lighting loads.
One of the key additions to the lineup is phase-selectable dimming, allowing installers to switch between forward- and reverse-phase dimming during installation. The feature is designed to help address compatibility issues with LED fixtures, including flickering and audible noise.
The Diva LED+ Pro model offers similar load versatility with lower wattage ratings for applications that do not require the maximum capacity of the Pro Max version.
For installations requiring multi-location control, the Maestro LED+ Pro Max model supports dimming from three or more locations when paired with a Lutron companion dimmer. The Sunnata LED+ Pro Max model incorporates the company’s touch light bar interface for projects where aesthetics are also a consideration.
Lutron says the products will be available through electrical distributors and HomeDepot.com beginning in August, with availability in Home Depot stores expected in September.
