URC has launched a new all-in-one, combined lighting solution, branded URC Lighting LT-3300 dimmer/switch device.
The next-generation smart products enable installers to configure as either dimmer or switch and swiftly program the LT-3300 products to create unique atmospheres for entertaining or quiet family events.
Owners can seamlessly trigger customized scenes, receive system notifications, and control intuitive lighting programs, the company says.
Through URC’s Total Control system and Accelerator software, URC Lighting is networked to provide complete integration allowing scenes like Good Morning, Dinner Party and Good Night to launch highly customized or frequently used lighting sequences.
Devices display notifications via an LED light. With a simple touch, URC Lighting enables smart control and automation across the Total Control ecosystem.

Other advanced benefits, according to the Harrison, N.Y., company include:
- Auto load detection eliminates the need to configure neutral or non-neutral installs (unless using as the accessory device)
- Trailing edge, colorful, customizable LED bar for visual notifications
- Reliable performance, Z-Wave networking and self-healing capabilities
- Sync across URC Lighting devices for multiway lighting feedback
URC offers the new products in premium fit and finish available in eight popular colors to complement any designer environment. Color change kits or color paddles allow integrators to create uniquely lit environments.
URC Lighting Fueled by Securely Encrypted Network, New Gateway
To network its new lighting products, URC created a native Z-Wave Plus gateway, TRF-ZW10, that can control up to 40 devices per and scale projects with multiple gateways. The TRF-ZW10 employs advanced Z-Wave S2 security encryption, URC adds.
“URC’s Lighting continues our leadership in developing advanced solutions for our dealers and their clients,” says Lars Granoe, URC’s vice president product development. “This new lighting platform provides easy installation and continues URC’s future products and software plans.”
URC says the company and its authorized dealers are recognizing the increased importance of lighting in an integrator’s solutions portfolio. With elevated interest around circadian and human-centric lighting, and the ability to automate lighting around work, play, rest, and sleep, URC explains, smart lighting is a highly trending category.
Count URC dealer Joe Lusi, president and owner of JL Entertainment Designs in Exton, Pa., among those evangelizing the potential of the new lighting solution, the company reports.
“Lighting may be the third or fourth item we discuss with end-users as they are often unaware of the power of lighting in their daily lives. Once the conversation shifts, it is fairly easy to spark thoughts of the wellness effects and the visual beauty that lighting can add to environments,” Lusi states.
“With the touch of a button or voice command in our showroom, our URC Total Control system can easily launch dramatic transitions. URC Lighting’s new hardware will allow us to select either functional use, dimmer or switch, and program it for the space. This reduces the need to have specific hardware and will allow simple neutral and non-neutral installations.”
The release comes on the heels of the recent announcements regarding integration with Kaleidescape for Total Control systems, and new TDC-5100 Touchscreen remote control.
