JVC announced its new NZ700/RS2200 and DLA-NZ500/RS1200 native 4K projectors at CEDIA Expo 2024. (photo credit: Bob Archer CE Pro) At CEDIA Expo 2024 JVC announced its new NZ700/RS2200 and DLA-NZ500/RS1200 native 4K projectors, which it says will be available in late November 2024.
The global electronics company says these new products join the company’s DLA-NZ900/RS4200 and DLA-NZ800/RS3200 projectors, which are currently on sale under the JVC brand.
According to JVC, the new NZ700/RS2200 and DLA-NZ500/RS1200 projectors are the world’s smallest native 4K projectors. Internally, the new 4K projectors feature new internal circuit design improvements, along with a redesign of the projectors’ optical unit, and lens. The new projectors also utilize the company’s third-generation 0.69-inch native 4K D-ILA chipset, which the company says achieves high levels of resolution and high brightness levels.
Powering the new NZ700/RS2200 and DLA-NZ500/RS1200 4K projectors is JVC’s proprietary BLU-Escent laser light source technology, which means the company stresses that all of its D-ILA products are equipped with laser-light source engines.

Bolstering the redesigned internal hardware components, the new projectors employ its the second-generation Frame Adapt HDR technology, which is equivalent to the higher-end models emphasizes JVC. Through the processing capabilities delivered by its Frame Adapt HDR technologies, the 4K DLA- NZ700/RS2200 and DLA-NZ500/RS1200 projectors are said to deliver full-fledged 4K/HDR images and through the projectors’ Vivid mode option, the projectors reproduce SDR content in rich colors.

Underscoring the redesign of the projectors’ internal technologies, JVC points out the 4K units provide The DLA-NZ700/NZ500/RS2200/RS1200 products a size reduction of 35% compared to the previous DLA-NZ7/RS2100 projectors, while still incorporating a laser light source and native 4K D-ILA device. Further helping professional integrators and their ability to install the projectors in a variety of home spaces, the projectors now place their exhaust at the rear of the chassis, which it says minimizes the potential impact of the image on the projection screen, while also allowing for greater room placement flexibility.
In addition, JVC says the projectors are more environmentally friendly Through a design that uses significantly less plastic, which also reduces transportation costs the company asserts.
The DLA-NZ700/RS2200 will carry a retail price of $8,999.95, while the DLA-NZ500/RS1200 will carry a retail price of $5,999.95.
