Drop-Down Video Wall | Winner of Mount This! Contest

You deserve to win an award anytime you can hide a video wall in a ceiling … and have it drop down at the press of a button to create a floating wall of TVs.

The client wanted to make sure his TVs didn’t interfere with the large windows (covered by blackout shades in the photo). Digital Interiors used Electro Kinetics lifts to make it happen. A big challenge was making sure the ceiling could hold the weight of the TVs.

The company says it used X-ray to see through concrete and make sure that the exact location for 12 support holes are free from hitting post tensioning rods. Lifting the TVs into position wasn’t easy either.

they probably spend spend a fortunes on those retractable mechanism and equipments, wich are super cool, why didn’t spend a little more on the lighting ( perhaps few recess lights)...looks like visual acne…and cheap! sorry.

I went through the slide show and although there are a couple of mounting solutions I don’t find noteworthy, there are some downright impressive installs. I would love the opportunity to poke around behind a couple of those. Nice work guys!
