100-Disc Blu-ray Ripper

We’ve already given props to S1Digital’s new Digital Entertainment Platform (DEP), which streams live CableCard content to multiple PCs.

But what you might not have seen is the company’s new 100-disc changer/ripper ($1,500) that supports Blu-ray, standard DVDs and CDs.

Currently, the machine can copy DVDs only to S1Digital’s own DEP server, but the company is contemplating a solution that would ship with the appropriate Windows Home Server software.

Out of the box, the machine does not rip copy-protected DVDs. That might be illegal. But resourceful integrators have probably heard of Slysoft.

Dealers could buy one of these babies and use it in their jobs – just load it up with your customer’s discs, and leave it alone for a day or two. http://www.s1digital.com
