The BDP-5004, which will be available in October, is a Profile 2.0 player that outputs at 1080i, 1080p/60 and 1080p/24. It can also upscale standard DVDs to 720p, 1080i, or 1080p through its HDMI 1.3 output.

Both Deep Color and XV Color are supported, as well as onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio high-resolution audio formats.
