The one-time champion of HD DVD is displaying its first Blu-ray player, the BDX2000.

It supports BD-Live, allowing users to access interactive features through an Ethernet connection.

The BDX2000 has a flip-down front panel, so it can look smooth and seamless most of the time until the user needs to access the disc drive or buttons. It also supports Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio. It includes an SD card slot.

Toshiba expects the BDX2000 to ship at the end of October or the beginning of November. Anticipated MSRP is $249.
