de100c

The really, really first “Digital Entertainment Center” from HP, the $999 de100c, launched in mid-2001. It “works with your home stereo system, TV and internet connection so you can store, organize and enjoy your music.”

NOTE: Intended only for use with your original music and other lawful applications. Dial-up support excludes AOL, CompuServe, and free ISPs that require a web browser to display banner ads. Use your existing dial-up or broadband Internet Service Provider (ISP) to access music and entertainment services. ISP connect-time charges may apply. Consumer router products that support industry standard TCP/IP protocol, and Ethernet or Home Phoneline 2.0 networking are required for broadband connection; PC required to configure router.
