Rotel Adds AUPEO! Streaming Music Service to Components
Streaming music service will be included in upcoming Rotel components.
With the addition of the AUPEO! music service, Rotel is providing dealers with the ability to serve the growing digital audio market.
Rotel has entered into an alliance with the online music store AUPEO!
Aupeo, which streams music from the Internet, is available in the USA, Europe and Asia. Rotel plans to integrate AUPEO! into its upcoming Web-enabled components that will debut this summer.
Rotel says users can choose from more than 80 radio stations and create personalized music selections based on artist, mood and other personal preferences. AUPEO! saves the information and creates a music profile. AUPEO! offers a free Basic Service option that streams music at 128kbps per second and a Premium package that offers higher stream of up to 320kbps.
“We are pleased to be able to offer this premium quality music service to our customers with our new Internet radio components," says Rotel's Mike Bartlett. “Although the USA offers many different Internet radio services, they are contractually constrained to America only. With AUPEO!, we can extend this reach to customers in the U.S. as well as Europe and Asia.”
