The Nyko remotes are in limited supply but I managed to get my hands on them and have them available at Remoteshoppe.com. Sorry for the plug… I just saw that you mentioned in the post that they are back-ordered
Your plug is quite welcome, Jim. Please keep us posted on new remote technologies. Thanks.
Does the remote have a power button?
I have heard that the limitation to these add on remotes is still no power, requiring customer to leave on all the time or walk up to it.
Okay from time to time, but not a clean solution.
The Nyko Bluwave does not have power control but there is a product from Schmartz.com called the PS3IR+PWR that sells for about $50 and does have power control. You’ll need a PSP to turn on this function (even if just for a few minutes) and you must be willing to roll up your sleeves. But, I just installed it for a review on Remoteshoppe.com and it works great!

Interesting,
I like the Nyko better from what I seen and it’s available in U.S. now,
I had to go to the UK site to find Logic 3’s and looks kind of flimsy and cheap compared to the NYKO piece.
Now that the latest system update 1.8.2 for the PS3 now supports DLNA server connections PS3 IR products pop up in the market, strange coincidence or Sony SCEA realizing that they need IR control to match 360 to Vista/Media center capability from Microsoft?
