Luxury homeowners increasingly expect premium sound systems to disappear into the design of their homes without compromising performance. According to Noah Siber-Sanderowitz, National Residential Sales Director for K-array, that shift is driving demand for speakers that combine compact form factors with high output.

Speaking with CE Pro Executive Editor Zachary Comeau, Sandowitz said aesthetics have become just as important as performance, particularly in luxury residential projects. Rather than filling spaces with large, highly visible speakers, homeowners want products that blend into their surroundings while still delivering immersive audio.

K-array’s approach focuses on shrinking traditional loudspeaker designs into sleek aluminum enclosures that can be customized in virtually any finish, including RAL colors, Benjamin Moore, and Sherwin-Williams paint matches. The company also offers recessed and surface-mount options that make speakers easier to integrate into high-end interiors.

Outdoor entertainment continues to be another major area of growth. Sandowitz emphasized that marine-grade products should be engineered from the start to withstand salt, moisture, and UV exposure rather than treated as an afterthought. He also noted that many outdoor audio systems are over-specified, arguing that thoughtful speaker placement and line-array technology can often provide better coverage with fewer products.

For integrators, K-array supports projects with application-based system design, including SPL modeling, heat maps, and design services tailored to each installation.

Looking ahead to CEDIA Expo 2026, K-array will showcase several new products, including the Coral in-wall speaker, Keystone in-wall subwoofer, and the compact KX2 “Baby Dragon.” Visitors can also expect to see the company’s customizable finishes, marine-grade solutions, and a new residential-focused booth designed to demonstrate how premium audio can complement luxury living spaces without dominating them.
