Complementing its large selection of architectural loudspeakers, Monitor Audio has announced its Custom Installation Amplifier Series of products.
The new multichannel amplifiers—IA60-4, IA125-4, IA750-2 and IA750-4—offer features such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi network connectivity, as well as digital signal processing (DSP) capabilities to support a range of usage applications. Monitor Audio explains that some of the Custom Installation Amplifier Series of Amplifiers DSP functions include equalization (EQ) settings that correspond with specific Monitor Audio architectural speaker models.
Other features the Custom Installation Amplifier Series incorporate include a web configurator that helps to support the amplifiers’ integration into control systems from companies such as Control4, Crestron, and RTI. A full API is also available for larger custom installations. The amps also provide 4- and 8-ohm low- and high-impedance settings, along with 70-volt/100-volt options.
Here is a closer look at the Custom Installation Amplifier Series:
IA60-4: The half 1U size amplifier can be used for two zone multiroom systems or to power rear surrounds or height channels in an immersive home theater. The amp is rated to produce 60 watts per channel or two channels at 125 watts, and it can be bridged to produce 250 watts.
IA125-4: The half 1U amplifier is rated to deliver 125 watts x 4 or 250 watts x 2.
IA750-2 and IA750-4: Both these amplifiers are 2RU-size units that are designed for larger system installations that include indoor and outdoor applications.
