As a part of a virtual ceremony hosted by CEDIA, the company recently announced the winners of the 2021 CEDIA Awards in the Americas region. CEDIA also recognized its member manufacturers in the hardware and software categories, and awarded several international integration firms with global honors. Among the honorees were the 2021 CEDIA lifetime achievement award winners, Control4 Co-founders Will West and Eric Smith.
Winning projects in the Americas region hailed from the US and Canada and were recognized in four main categories with various levels and three subcategories. Global categories included: “Best Home Cinema,” “Best Media Room,” and “Best Integrated Home.”
“There is a saying in our industry that goes if the job is done right, you shouldn’t even notice the technology at all,’” says CEDIA interim co-CEO Giles Sutton. “And while I couldn’t agree more, it is my hope that all the work these technology integrators do to make that happen never goes unnoticed.
“The CEDIA Awards are meant to recognize the daily grind, from hands and knees wire pulling to ladder climbing and everything in between. Tonight’s winners, honorees, and finalists should be immensely proud of their work. I am humbled to honor them at the 2021 CEDIA Awards virtual celebration.”
