The past few months have been busy at Nice, a global leader in home technology solutions. The company finalized a branding transition for several divisions under the Nice umbrella name, and debuted important new solutions, such as its Sun Shades, at CEDIA Expo 2023. In its latest move, Nice has promoted Paul Williams from chief product officer to managing director of the company’s new Home Management Solutions Business Unit.
As Nice explains, the Home Management Solutions Business Unit was established to enable the company to oversee a worldwide approach to this sector and bridge the gap between technology, design, ease of use and sustainability. The goal is to make home technology an active, efficient and safe system capable of taking care of the people who live there, improving their quality of life, and simplifying their everyday activities.
“Taking on the leadership of the Home Management Solutions Business Unit is more than a new role for me; it is a chance to redefine how we interact with our homes and evolve our development culture,” Williams states.
“My vision is for us to be highly focused on delivering holistic experiences for our users, crafting solutions rooted in powerful platforms and interconnected ecosystems. I genuinely believe that by creating complete solutions, we are not only meeting expectations but surpassing them, bringing unparalleled value and satisfaction to our customers.”
In this new role, Williams will join the global Nice Group Executive Team, reporting to Roberto Griffa, Group CEO at Nice.

Latest Step Validates Industry Veteran’s Invaluable Efforts at Nice
Since joining Nice in 2022, Williams has been invaluable in leading the company toward that holistic experience that integrators can provide customers, according to the company. He was excited to show new products such as HR40 handheld remote at the recent CEDIA Expo.
Williams has supported the product teams in exceeding customer expectations and being at the forefront of the strategy to successfully merge all companies operating in the region under one brand, leading consistency to the market. That message was emphasized by Nice during CEDIA Expo 2023.
“Strengthening our matrix structure with the new Home Management Solutions Business Unit is more than a strategic step: it is about anticipating the future. It gives us greater flexibility, sharper focus, and an enhanced ability to innovate,” says Roberto Griffa, Group CEO at Nice.
“And it is leaders like Paul − with their vision for connected solutions and customer-centric ecosystems − who make me confident that all these factors are moving us towards the right direction.”
Prior to joining Nice, Paul Williams spent nearly 15 years at Control4, where he held numerous senior leadership positions in the areas of; operations, support, hospitality sales and product/R&D. After Control4, he joined GE Lighting, where he built a team that has created a do-it-yourself smart home ecosystem integrating dozens of products and a mobile app experience that is now used by millions of consumers.
