Environmental Lights, a developer of LED lighting solutions, and City Theatrical, a global entertainment lighting technology company, has announced the launch of the Eluxtra family of LED accent lighting products.
Operating nationally out of New York and internationally out of London since 1986, City Theatrical “invents, manufactures, and customizes unique lighting accessories for the live entertainment, film and video, and architectural industries” as per its website.
Pulling from City Theatrical’s experience in the entertainment lighting industry, Environmental Lights states the goal of its new Eluxtra fixture is to provide that same ease of control and dynamism often found in theatrical settings in an easier-to-install package that can also fit into home lighting designs.
Both companies assert, however, that the product line isn’t exclusively intended for home installations, citing use cases for stage lighting, retail displays, and even OEM Manufacturing.
According to Environmental Lights, the products will initially focus on core performance and functionality to meet a wide range of project needs. More specialized product varieties will further augment the line over the coming year.

Eluxtra Aims to Simplify Complex Design Scenarios
The initial wave of Eluxtra products to launch include:
- 24-volt Eluxtra RGB LED Strip Light: A performance strip light the companies say can be used for colorful, dynamic lighting. (Available in IP65 waterproof version)
- 24-volt Eluxtra 4-in-1 LED Strip Light: RGB plus either 6500K, 2700K, Amber, or Indigo adds versatility for enhanced color needs. (Available in IP65 waterproof version)
Other products to come include:
- 12-volt and 24-volt Eluxtra 5-in-1 LED Strip Light: 5-in-1 allows users to take advantage of a wide range of colors, offering maximum color customization and control to lighting designers.
- 12-volt Eluxtra 4-in-1 LED Strip Light: RGB plus either 6500k or Amber in a 12-volt version
The Eluxtra family will be offered by both Environmental Lights and City Theatrical.
The new product marks the first major release from both companies following the acquisition of City Theatrical by Environmental Lights in July of 2023.
