Panamax BlueBOLT-CV2 Provides Local IP Control, Recurring Revenue Opportunity
Shown at CEDIA 2017, Core Brands' power protection and management company Panamax adds local IP control to many of its products via the BlueBOLT-CV2 interface card.
Panamax, a Core Brands manufacturer of power protection and power management solutions, introduced a new IP control option called BlueBOLT-CV2 that is compatible with several of its products at CEDIA 2017.
The Calif.-based company's new BlueBOLT-CV2 is designed to enable the energy management features of Panamax's PRO line of products from a local network.
"Now more than ever, residential integraors are looking for ways to effectively manage their customers' power consumption to help lower utility bills and reduce the installation's impact on the environment," says Christos Desalernos, power product manager, Core Brands. "With the BlueBOLT-CV2 interface card, residential installers can upgrade their MB1500, M4315-PRO and M4320-PRO to the latest BlueBOLT remote functionality, which allows them the flexibility they are looking for. The new CV2 also enables local access through a set of embedded web pages."
Through the installation of the BlueBOLT-CV2, integrators can monitor their clients' power and they can setup notifications that alert homeowners about network or power issues. Scheduled events and auto reboot functions can minimize the need to reboot networks to resolve problems remotely.
The company says these remote services add to the value of integrators' products and services portfolios while lowering their operational costs by eliminating the need to roll trucks to manually reboot devices and systems.
"Integrators that already use BlueBOLT understand that remote service calls don't have to be free," adds Desalernos. "The platform opens up recurring revenues."
