Will Sound United continue licensing Play-Fi, or will the company's acquisition of D+M Group mean expansion for HEOS wireless audio platform? And if so, should Sonos be worried?

Sound United, the parent company of Polk Audio and Definitive Technology, has purchased D+M Group and its brands, including Denon, Marantz, HEOS and Boston Acoustics. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ken Furst, 66, had a diverse career in consumer electronics in marketing for several manufacturers, including Denon and Philips, as well as in media, associations and public relations.

Denon and Control4 release firmware updates to increase interoperability between whole-house control and home theater systems.
