As part of its 20th anniversary, the Australian connectivity company Kordz, has introduced its SlimCat Network Cabling System.
The new cabling solution was announced at the recently completed ISE 2023 show in Barcelona, and according to Kordz, its latest product utilizes bulk reducing 4mm diameter category 6 cable. Augmenting the slim-profile SlimCat cat-6 cables is the company’s specifically designed RJ45 crimp connectors and RJ45 keystone sockets that together provide everything professional integrators will need to size and terminate category cabling connections for their system installations.
Kordz points out the SlimCat Network Cable System can be used by integrators to address smaller installation spaces or retrofit installations where traditional cables may take up too much space.
The Australian company notes the category cabling system supports 100-watt PoE++ and it provides enough bandwidth to support transmission rates up to 1GHz for distances up to 50 meters (164 feet).
In addition, the company states the SlimCat Network Cable System also provides dealers features like Kordz’ 2,000-cycle latch, which is the same technology used in its popular patch cables, and it emphasizes, the 28AWG cabling provides other dealer-friendly features such as a 32mm bend radius and performance levels that meet ANSI/TIA-58.2-D Category 6 permanent link standards up to 50 meters.
