Smart space installation and services company Daisy, which has been on a streak of expansion and acquisitions to fulfill its aspirations of being a nationwide integrator of smart home and commercial space technology, is acquiring SaaviHome, a Denver-based integrator that itself wanted to expand via a franchise model in the Mountain West region and adjacent areas.
The acquisition of SaaviHome adds a tenth location for Daisy’s footprint, joining the likes of cyberManor, First Priority Audio, Integrated Lifestyle Inc., A Shade Above, and more within the Daisy family. The company expects to operate 11 locations later this year with the opening of a Palm Springs, Calif. location.
Adding a Smart Home Franchise Business to a Smart Home Franchise Business
Adding SaaviHome’s business to the Daisy portfolio seems like a natural fit, as SaaviHome itself has begun a franchising program and in July launched its first two franchise locations in the Boulder and Castle Rock territories in Colorado. SaaviHome, led by CEO Gavin Lantzy, has been building out a training program to take the company’s systems and processes nationwide in an appeal to entrepreneurs to make their entry into the professional smart home industry.
For Daisy, this move establishes a solid multi-location presence in the Mountain West region and strengthen its franchise capabilities. It also fills a geographical gap for Daisy, which currently operates locations in California, Florida, and Connecticut.
Lantzy, who told CE Pro he wanted SaaviHome to become a national franchise operation, will now become Daisy’s franchisee sales and success leader.

“SaaviHome was founded on the vision and values instilled by my father, whose passion was to deliver simple technology solutions for customers,” Lantzy said in a statement. “Since his passing in 2021, I have been driven by the legacy he left behind, striving to carry forward the mission of making homes smarter and lives simpler. I know he would be proud of how we are bringing this vision into reality.”
Being acquired by Daisy is expected to enhance the growth of SaaviHome’s existing locations and its presence in the custom integration market, Lantzy added.
Hagan Kappler, co-founder and CEO of Daisy, via a statement commented on Lantzy’s ability to add to the franchise program due to his company’s own model.
“I’m thrilled to welcome SaaviHome into Daisy and to have the opportunity to work closely with [Lantzy], his team, and the SaaviHome franchisees,” Kappler said. “[Lantzy’s] deep expertise and dedication to supporting the industry will be invaluable as we continue to drive Daisy’s initiatives forward, especially new franchise owner training and onboarding programs. [Lantzy] and his team will help Daisy expedite enabling new franchise opportunities and ensuring we provide unparalleled support and innovation for our franchisees, our teams, and our clients.”
Daisy to Open 11th Franchice Location
Daisy has also announced the expected fourth-quarter opening of its 11th franchise location in Palm Springs, Calif. This location is co-owned by Matt Walin, a Daisy franchisee who converted a Costa Mesa, Calif. location to Daisy in February, and Charles Dyer, a career technology executive with an impressive resume including startups and Microsoft.
“We’re thrilled to launch a new franchise location in the Palm Springs market, a high growth region for smart home technology” Kappler said. “Across our markets, we find people have a need for trusted integrators in nearby locations for their second and third homes.”
Palm Springs is a great example of how Daisy is quickly building a location to meet that need, Kappler added.
Wallin, who converted his firm Brilliant AV to a Daisy franchise, called the move a “major milestone.”
“This rapid growth is only possible thanks to the Daisy team and their support center,” Wallin saidi n a statement. “Daisy is helping us to quickly ramp up operations to launch a successful branch. I’m excited to partner with Charles Dyer, who brings a wealth of experience in business development and further strengthens our ability to exceed expectations and set a new benchmark in the region.”
For Dyer, who has experience with smart space technology with Microsoft and elsewhere, joining the Daisy team is an “incredible opportunity.”
“Having been involved with early-stage Smart Space and Home Lighthouse initiatives at Microsoft and HERE Technology, it’s great to see these technologies start to come together in a seamless way and become more accessible to homes and offices alike,” Dyer said in a statement. “Working alongside Matt Walin and the dedicated Daisy team, I’m excited to help drive the success of the Palm Springs location and contribute to the broader expansion of Daisy’s national presence.”
