Upgrading the integrated amplifiers in its 14 and 15 series of products, Rotel has announced its new A14MKII, RA-1572MKII and RA-1592MKII products.
Rotel explains the upgrades to the three integrated amplifiers include revisions to the products’ circuit designs, and new components within the architecture of the integrated amplifiers.
Here is a closer look at each of the three integrated amplifiers:
A14MKII Integrated Amplifier
According to Rotel, the A14 is the flagship integrated amplifier in the company’s 14 series of products. The new MKII version of the integrated amp includes a new Texas Instruments’ digital-to-analog converter (DAC) chip that supports 32-bit/384kHz.
Other upgrades include 25 component changes in the DAC section’s output filter.

Additionally, the A14MKII incorporates a wealth of inputs such as a moving magnet (MM) phono stage, as well as XLR balanced, coax and optical digital inputs, RCA inputs, and wireless Bluetooth.
RA-1572MKII Integrated Amplifier
Rotel states the RA-1572MKII features the Texas Instruments 32bit 384kHz DAC circuits, along with 12 new coupling capacitors that are said to provide improved frequency response and component tolerances.
As part of the the RA-1572MKII’s updates, Rotel says it upgraded 33 components in the integrated amp’s acoustic capacitors, filter capacitors, and power supply sections to deliver improved audio accuracy.
Like the A14MKII, the RA-1572MKII features aptX and Bluetooth streaming. Other options built into the RA-1572MKII include MQA decoding, as well as a MM phono stage, and a choice of analog and digital inputs.
RA-1592MKII Integrated Amplifier
The RA-1592MKII provides many of the same features as the other newly updated integrated amplifiers.
More specifically however, the RA-1592MKII incorporates 28 updated components that are highlighted by upgrades to the unit’s power supply circuit.
Rotel specifies the RA-1592MKII’s Class A/B amplifier section to produce 200 watts into 8 ohms.
