CEDIA to Offer Training, CEUs at EHX Spring
Organization will provide at least 55 accredited classes with continuing education units starting with EHX Spring 2009.
CEDIA will offer training and continuing education units (CEUs) at Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring.
Beginning with EHX Spring 2009, March 12-14 in Orlando, Fla., CEDIA will provide a minimum of 55 accredited classes with CEU credits at EHX.
CEDIA University's EHX curriculum will include a "customized selection of CEDIA training courses for custom electronics professionals."
CEDIA education “raises the profile and quality of the training offered at EHX,” says Jim Wagner, general manager, EH Events. “It’s great for the industry and the relationship is a good fit.”
The selection of classes, according to a joint press release, will address "system design, technical skills, emerging technologies and business and strategy training."
Ken Erdmann, CEDIA Education Council chairman, says that CEDIA and EHX working together "will better serve all custom electronics professionals."
In the past, CEDIA has offered an educational track at EHX shows. The organization has also offered training for Electronic Systems Professional Alliance (ESPA) accreditation at EHX. ESPA is produced jointly by CEDIA, the Consumer Electronics Association and the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA).
This new relationship, however, marks the first time CEDIA has offered such a wide slate of educational opportunities at EHX.
CEDIA and EHX’s training relationship will be exclusive to EHX Spring.
