01.29.2008 — Let's be honest here: outside of your bedroom, the bathroom is probably the most used room in your house.

It's OK -- there's nothing to be ashamed of in that. We all do it.

So if you're spending a lot of time on the john, it's only natural that you'll want a nice TV installed to keep you busy.

Aquavision, a UK-based manufacturer of bathroom televisions, has the solution: a 57" in-wall waterproof LCD TV (via Born Rich).

The AVF 57-4LCD (pdf) has 1080p resolution, 2 HDMI ports and both digital and analog tuners. The set, which has an RS-232 port, uses a Mirrorvision finish, which turns the glass into a mirror when turned off.

The set is being introduced at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), currently taking place in Amsterdam. Aquavision also has five other in-wall waterproof TVs on display at ISE, with sizes of 17", 19", 26", 32" and 40".

The unit comes with two remotes -- one waterproof and one not. If you'd like a waterproof universal remote, RTI introduced one back at CEDIA.

I want one!
Maybe I’ll actually shave more regularly.

I’m surprised at the large size they’ve chosen, but I think it’s pretty cool!

I always do my hair according to what’s on TV. I thought I was the only one.

Lots of people want a TV in the bathroom.  It’s great to have more options and screen sizes to present them with.

Turns into a mirror when turned off? Brilliant! Superbowl party in the bathtub, NICE.

Do they have a ceiling mount for this?
