As residential AV systems become increasingly connected, integrators are looking for products that simplify installation, improve long-term serviceability, and keep pace with evolving homeowner expectations.
In this CE Pro interview, Dan Augsburger, National Sales Manager for Residential at LEA Professional, discusses how the company is helping dealers meet those demands through cloud-connected amplifiers, remote management tools, and expanded control integrations.
According to Augsburger, one of the biggest challenges facing integrators today is maintaining a consistent user experience long after a system has been installed. LEA addresses that challenge through cloud connectivity, allowing dealers to remotely monitor systems, make adjustments, and diagnose issues before visiting a jobsite. That visibility helps reduce service calls while improving the overall ownership experience.
The interview also highlights LEA’s new two-channel half-rack amplifier, which expands the company’s compact amplifier family by giving integrators more flexibility when designing systems. Rather than relying exclusively on four-channel models, dealers can better match amplifier configurations to individual zones while improving cost efficiency.
Augsburger also discusses LEA’s growing ecosystem of integrations, including a new Josh.ai driver designed to simplify interoperability while supporting the company’s goal of remaining platform agnostic. He says seamless integration across control platforms is increasingly important as homeowners expect unified experiences throughout the home.
The conversation also explores LEA’s new CS Glass wall controller, which combines cloud accessibility with built-in streaming, Bluetooth, scheduling capabilities, customizable interfaces, and role-based user permissions to provide dealers and homeowners with greater flexibility.
Looking toward the future, Augsburger believes residential technology is moving beyond the connected home and toward the cloud-connected home, where remote management and AI-driven automation will play a growing role in delivering seamless entertainment experiences.
