Snap One is launching the new ClareVision Smart Video Doorbell, an NDAA-certified product designed to be a self-contained, subscription-free solution to monitor and record front-door activity 24 hours a day.
The ClareVision Smart Video Doorbell is designed to be a standalone surveillance solution or as part of a ClareOne smart home system with a ClareOne Smart Panel. The doorbell is marketed as an easy-to-install option for production builders.
The Charlotte, N.C. company says the ClareVision Smart Video Doorbell combines 1080p video capture, AI-based smart analytics, 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity and two-way voice calling into a slim device that uses existing doorbell wires for power.
According to Snap One, the device offers a live feed from the ClareOne Wireless Security and Smart Home Panel or the ClareVision app. The doorbell can also be integrated with SnapOne home control brand Control4 as a surveillance device.
Recorded video is stored via an internal 16GB microSD card, which Snap One says partners and users can expand up to 512GB.

Clint Choate, senior director of the security market for Snap One, says the new video doorbell gives dealers a high-quality branded option that integrates with other ClareVision solutions and requires no monthly subscriptions for storage or viewing.
“The doorbell is designed to be powered by existing low-voltage doorbell wiring for added Partner convenience while including powerful features such as dual Wi-Fi band connectivity, full HD resolution and support for two-way voice,” Choate says.
The company says the doorbell was developed based on direct input from integrator partners. The result is a simple physical design and connectivity features designed to make deployment and installation easier, Choate adds.
Each Clare Smart Video Doorbell comes with white, black and satin nickel cover plates, as well as standoff wall mount brackets and angled brackets for flexibility and installation ease.
