WiiM has introduced its first soundbar product, the WiiM Bar, during High End Vienna 2026, marking the company’s expansion further into the home theater category.
According to the company, the WiiM Bar features a 3.0.2-channel Dolby Atmos configuration with top-firing height drivers and wireless expandability to a full 5.1.2 surround sound system using compatible WiiM products as surrounds and subwoofers.
The soundbar, available now for pre-sale and expected to begin shipping in July for $479, includes an eight-driver array with four passive radiators, front mid-woofers, tweeters and top-mounted full-range drivers. Supported audio formats include Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, LPCM and Dolby Digital Plus. Connectivity options include HDMI eARC.
One of the more notable design elements is a 2.1-inch round touch display positioned directly on the soundbar. WiiM says the display can show album art, playback controls, EQ settings, Smart Presets and source information.
The company also says the WiiM Bar incorporates its RoomFit room correction technology, which automatically adjusts sound output based on room acoustics. Additional features include AI-powered dialogue enhancement through a Clear Voice Mode and a Night Mode designed to reduce loud effects while maintaining speech intelligibility.
What WiiM Bar Means for the CEDIA channel
Like other WiiM products, the soundbar integrates with the WiiM Home App for multi-room audio control, EQ adjustments and streaming management. The platform supports more than 20 streaming services, as well as Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast and Roon.
“The WiiM Bar is a natural next step for our ecosystem, bringing the same simplicity and high-fidelity performance our community loves into the living room,” said Dr. Lifeng Zhao, CEO of WiiM, in the announcement. “With true Dolby Atmos sound, an intuitive touch display, and the ability to expand from a standalone soundbar into a full surround setup, it’s designed to grow with the way our users enjoy music, movies, and gaming.”
The soundbar is another addition to WiiM’s growing line of speaker products after debuting with streamers and amps. The release is also adding to the company’s competitiveness with brands like Sonos and others that offer multi-room audio capabilities.
