Providing integrators with a simple, cost-effective solution for smart home control, Control4 has announced a new single-room bundle.
The new, entry-level control system features Control4‘s CORE lite Controller and Halo remote to deliver a range of control capabilities. Eric Fritz, director of product management at Snap One, says the launch of the Single Room Bundle with CORE lite and Halo offers integrators and their customers more options than other comparable solutions, at a budget-friendly price point.
“The Single Room Bundle with CORE lite and Halo provides Snap One Partners with a simple, profitable solution that lowers the barrier of entry to the Control4 ecosystem and allows for expansion in any size of project,” says Fritz.
“Offering powerful features such as a high-resolution audio streaming, OnScreen menu, Intercom Anywhere, OvrC Pro, and more, the bundle delivers more out-of-the-box capabilities than any competing solution.”
CORE lite Processor Serves as Foundation for Single Room Bundle System
Control4 and Snap One point out that at the heart of its new streamlined control system is the CORE lite system controller. According to Snap One, the controller was developed specifically for single-room applications and it provides integrators with an Ethernet port, a USB port, an HDMI input, an internal Zigbee antenna, and three IR port connections that includes the ability to use one of those ports as a serial port.

Some of the other features of the Single Room Bundle’s CORE lite processor include an HD-based web menu, as well as high-resolution audio streaming with access to as many as a dozen streaming services, and cloud capabilities that include remote access, notifications and alerts, Intercom Anywhere, cloud backups, and support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control options.
Supporting integrators that are interested in using the new Control4 solution, Snap One emphasizes that by using the CORE lite controller, dealers will have access to the Control4 Online Driver Database that includes more than 20,000 device drivers to enable personalized, smart home installations. The Single Room Bundle’s CORE lite processor also provides remote monitoring and access capabilities via Snap One’s OvrC platform.
Rounding out the Single Room Bundle is the inclusion of the Halo remote control.
This remote features a 2.8-inch screen, along with hard buttons, and the Halo is augmented through the use of the Control4 app. Snap One explains the Halo remote also incorporates dual-band Wi-Fi antennas with 2.4GHz and 5GHz network support, and when homeowners press the remote’s voice button, Snap One notes the Single Room Bundle can capture voice commands with the Halo remote’s built-in microphone.
Ensuring the system’s versatility, Snap One says the bundle provides Apple TV integration that includes Siri, and soon it will offer Xfinity integration.
“Snap One and Control4 are dedicated to supporting our Partners with revenue-driving products that offer repeat sales opportunities and create entries into new markets,” adds Fritz.
“This bundle makes sophisticated home control affordable and easy to use for any customer while giving our Partners a chance to exhibit the full power of Control4 without large up-front investment.”
