AVPro Global Holdings, the parent company of AVPro Edge, AudioControl Pro, Bullet Train, Murideo, and Then Audio audio/video distribution products, has announced the appointment of Chris Kane as Vice President of North American (NA) Residential Sales.
Kane will report to Mike Detmer, AVPro’s COO, and oversee NA business development initiatives including streamlining sales processes by unifying the AVPro brand portfolio under one experienced manager.
The long-time industry facing AudioControl personality, Kane is a known and trusted manager in the NA residential market. He brings a wealth of experience and insight to leverage AVPro’s growth initiatives while providing added value to its customers, the company notes.
CE Pro honored Kane five years ago by including him with a dozen other loyal industry veterans in the CE Pro Masters class of 2019.
“With 30 years of sales experience at AudioControl, it’s only natural to elevate Chris to manage the residential market for the entire AVPro brand portfolio in North America,” says Detmer, who recently joined the Sioux Falls, S.D.-based company as COO.

Kane Brings Record of Success to New AVPro Role
At AudioControl since 1992 after 10 years in consumer electronics retail, Kane managed new business development with major success.
He went about establishing strong relationships with customers across all related sales channels through extensive in-person and online presentations, dealer training seminars, and was a consistent presence at key custom integration industry tradeshows such as CEDIA Expo and ISE.
Kane is well-respected as a proficient manager of regional sales teams including independent manufacturer representatives, AVPro adds.
The company acquired AudioControl in August 2023 to help bolster its residential and commercial market reach.
Earlier this year, AudioControl expanded its rep network by bringing on two new independent sales rep firms for the Midwest region of the U.S.: Sales And Marketing, Inc. for the state of Michigan and AWA Reps, Inc. covering Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, and both North and South Dakota.
